MEMBERSHIP DRIVE TIME.

Hello Everyone:  I hope that everyone is doing well and that you are getting ready for a trip South,  Christmas with family and friends, or both.

We are just finalizing the 2018 season that was and starting to put things together for next year.  In over 20 seasons in this crazy business I can honestly say I have never had one like this year.  When all the dust settled, we had approximately 60 less days of play than last season.  The middle part of the season was quite good but in this business it is very difficult when there is no play until nearly May and only 2 days of play in October.  That being said, we did manage to get some golf in and the days we did get were largely devoid of wind and rain so there was some good play days.  Here are some basic stats from the season.

Total Rounds Played -  26,876
Member Rounds during the week - 11,872
Member Rounds on weekend - 5,728
Total Member Rounds    - 17,600 or 65% of total play.

On average our members played for about $30 per round.  Obviously some were able to play more rounds of golf than others but overall I think that number shows good usage and great value.  It is all of our hopes that next season is somewhat more “normal" and that we can get a full 6 months of play as opposed to 4.  

Our early bird program has now officially started and it is similar to the last number of seasons with a good discount for returning members.  Each member taking advantage of the early bird pricing will also receive a $50 gift card for use either in the golf shop or upstairs in food and beverage during next golf season.

Prices:
7 day adult – early bird price $1,500 (reg $1,600)
7 day spouse - early bird price $1,100 (reg $1,200)
5 day adult - early bird price $1,400 (reg $1,500)
5 day spouse - early bird price $1,000 (reg $1,200)

We have decided to discontinue the 4 day membership in an effort to give people more reason to be here than to not be here.  I understand that the 4 day option was created in an effort to attract more green fees and tournaments on the Fridays and treat it more like a weekend.  Having seen the operation for a season though, I believe we can still host some tournaments on Friday afternoons and look after our membership base with a morning shotgun. 

One additional twist on this year’s early bird promotion is that we are going to further incentivize you to come out and see us early.  Beginning today, anyone that comes out and pays before Friday December 7th will get 3 entries into the early bird draws.  Payments made the next week up to Friday, December 14th will get 2 entries and payments made on or before Friday, December 21st will get one entry into the draws.
