Hi folks: Well the long weekend has past and the good weather continues. Somehow we skipped spring and went straight to summer.
Although the numbers were not as strong as we have liked them to be, the field at the Chinook enjoyed the experience. We had a number of people come in from out of town that also enjoyed the weekend.
From here we settle into “normal life" around the club focusing on regular play, leagues and our regular groups. We will also be hosting the annual Heart and Stroke Foundation tournament and the Seamus Daley memorial tournament.
On the golf course front you will see some additional work being done to extend the cart paths to the new tees that have been built to finish off that project.
We will also have some of the serious spots in the parking lot fixed up through the process.
For those of you who are submitting scorecards to have the scores entered, please make sure that first and last names are on the card to expedite the entry. This will help Mr. Williams get them in properly and in a timely fashion.
Last note is to do with the new red tees. We are in contact with Alberta Golf and Golf Canada to get the rating updated to accurately reflect the new tees. I am hopeful this will be done quickly so that all of our scores going in are the way they should be.
That's it for now - enjoy the weather and your great golf course.
