Wow what a great day of golf today. Our course put over 200 rounds of golf today and the pace for virtually all of the day was around 4 hours. I was lucky enough to get out on the course today with what I believe is Henderson Lake’s only Triple Crown Winner. Ron Erais has won the junior club championship, the men’s club championship (6 times I believe), and last year completed the triple crown by winning the senior club championship. Since my time playing there as a junior to working in the pro shop in early nineties to today, Ron has always been very good to me and a huge supporter of Henderson Lake. It was a great treat for me to spend the afternoon with him.
As the day progressed, the crew working on our fence did an amazing job getting most of the chain link section up. As a result, we will be opening the 9th hole to its’ regular length tomorrow as we feel there is ample protection now for the walkers on the city path.
On a sad note, there goes my chances of making 5 or less on number 9 but it’s not about me.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow and have a great night.
